Parc Monceau

This past Saturday was a very slow day for us. We stayed in our pajamas through the afternoon and finally decided we should get out of the house around 3pm.  Our kids need to eat dinner and go to bed early, so there wasn't time left in the day for us to do much. In the end, we decided to go to Parc Monceau.

And what's a trip to the park without at least a few yummy snacks? Before hopping on the bus to the park, we popped into Marks and Spencer to get some cheese, crackers, and (ok, fine, why not?) some cheesecake, too. The French are really into cheesecake. All the snacks made me feel like I was in America. Interesting...

I also washed and packed some gariguette strawberries. They're the most amazing strawberries you'll ever taste, and if you're here in the summer, you must try these morsels of magic.  Yes, magic.

As for the park, it was especially nice because of the 70 degree weather.  There's plenty of grass to sit and picnic on, a carousel, playground, and ponies for children to ride. I don't think we'll make it here again before picnic season is over, but I'm so glad we came at least once.
