Coffee in Paris: Hexagone Café

Hexagone Café is a specialty coffee shop and a torréfacteur (coffee roaster). I walked to Hexagone by myself (a super special treat) on a Sunday.  The coffee was good, but honestly my favorite thing about the experience was that it was open!  Most of Paris seems to shut down on Sundays.

After I placed my order, I was forgotten about and had to re-order.  Mais, c'est pas grave (no problem). I wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere.

While the walk to the coffee shop wasn't an especially jaw-dropping, eye-candy-on-every-corner experience, one delightful surprise I came across was a ceramic store across the street.  The owner hand makes all of the items, and prices them very reasonably.  So if you're looking for a special gift to take home to a coffee lover, I recommend buying a bag of coffee from Hexagone, and then heading across the street for a mug made in Paris.
